To maintain employee safety in the operating room, ETS utilizes personal dosimeters, ventilation testing, and optional leak detection as part of our comprehensive waste anesthetic gas monitoring program.
We provide personal dosimeters to establish an 8 hour TWA and 15 minute STEL for compounds such as nitrous oxide and halogenated agents (isoflurane, sevoflurane, desflurane). The dosimeters are analyzed to determine if exposures are within the limits established by NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health).
