Medical Air Purity

Medical air purity testing provides facility maintenance personnel specific data to determine if the air quality meets purity standards for patient care as established by CGA (Compressed Gas Association) Grade N, USP (United States Pharmacopoeia) and NFPA (National Fire Protection Association).

Medical air produced at facilities is classified as a drug which is administered to patients; consequently, maintenance personnel are required to ensure its quality and establish a program of ongoing testing of carbon monoxide and dew point monitors.

Our medical air purity test is based on the CGA Grade N, USP and NFPA purity standards.

We assess:

  • Line Pressure
  • Water
  • Odor
  • Dew Point Pressure
  • Oxygen Percentage
  • Accuracy of the dew point and carbon dioxide monitors
  • In-line contaminant concentrations of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, dew point and hydrocarbons
